The releases for Vitess and the PlanetScale Vitess Operator do not coincide. Each one has their own release cycle. Vitess has a new release every 13 weeks.

Currently there isn’t a regular official release cycle for the PlanetScale Vitess Operator.

Please do note that there is a commitment to maintain backward compatibility, for one major version, for Vitess and the PlanetScale Vitess Operator.
